Originally from Liverpool, I began programming in secondary school with Python and furthered my computer science education through sixth form and eventually university during my undergraduate degree. During this time I became familiar with several different programming languages and frameworks across many different programming disciplines before realising that my passion for programming lay in game development. This led me to pursuing the Master's Game Engineering course focusing on low-level engine programming for games, where I learned the fundamental principles in video game and engine programming. It is here that I feel I have made the most progress as a programmer. This course has made me much more aware of performance not just for games but for programming in general, especially after finishing my dissertations.
